Each year, I feel like I waste so much time poking around and trying to find the perfect gift for each person on my list. It's not that I mind investing time in loved ones, it's that I hate not finding the perfect gift, and buying them some crap that I don't even know if they will like or use. While I appreciate every gift I ever received, some end up taking up space in my apartment and never get used or worn. I feel too guilty to throw it away, but I don't like that thing enough to use it.

I have been a vegetarian my whole life. Although it is more-often-than-not healthier to be vegetarian than to have a meat-laden diet, I feel like I am always lacking essential nutrients. That is not good for a growing, young woman like me!

If I could be one celebrity for a day, I would want it to be Tina Fey. I wish I could be as hilarious as her! She gets to work with some talented comedians, she has a hilarious show, and she is able to balance it all with her family as well. I think many people aspire to have a successful career and beautiful family, but not many people achieve that.

Whether you are pro-choice or pro-life, we can all agree that the most ideal situation would be no abortions ever. This isn't entirely possible, but we should be focusing on this issue much more than debating the topic that has seen very little movement lately. Education has been linked to increasing democracy and reducing poverty. With focused attention on reproductive education, the numbers of unwanted pregnancies would be greatly reduced.

Over the last few years, I have realized that one of my favorite parts of the holiday season is having Thanksgiving in San Francisco. My family is so spread out, and it just seems too difficult to go home for the couple of days when my college age brothers are home for a month a couple weeks later. So, I stay near work, forget about traveling on the busiest day of the year, and I get to relax with my friends who also stick around for various reasons. I love it because we always end up inviting random people to come along and eat the delicious food that my culinary adept friends make.
