Alcohol More Lethal Than Hard Drugs
Submitted by Ericka on Thu, 11/04/2010 - 12:30When I think of the most lethal drugs to stay away from, cocaine, heroin and meth automatically pop in my mind. They’re highly addictive, easily detrimental to your health and not to mention illegal. In a recent London study, these drugs definitely made the list, but didn’t rank as high in their all-around lethalness as something millions of Americans are much more familiar with: alcohol.
Calorie Fretting
Submitted by Chloe on Thu, 11/04/2010 - 12:30As the holiday season comes rolling around, we start to see a lot of blog articles about how to not ruin our diet during the holiday dinners or parties that are filled with decadent, calorie-laden dishes. A Childhood Changed
Submitted by alison on Mon, 10/25/2010 - 12:30Kids these days are experiencing a drastically different childhood then I did, which may sound strange considering the fact that I am only a few weeks shy of 23. They weren’t born too much after I was, however kids today were born into a completely different world and childhood. I was born in the late eighties, but I really consider myself a child of the nineties since I was only two when 1990 came around.
Shuck that Oyster!
Submitted by Chloe on Thu, 10/21/2010 - 12:30A phrase that I repeat to myself every day is: “The world is your oyster.” Derived from Shakespeare’s Merry Wives of Windsor, the phrase means that you can get anything in this world with ease. The pearl inside the oyster shells is actually very easy to take out, because all you need to do is crack open the shells.
