Breaking Decorum? Are you Surprised?

So I’m going to play the devil’s advocate on this one, just because…

Let’s start with Serena Williams:

Yes, Serena Williams was at fault for saying, “I’ll kill you,” and cursing out the line judge. She deserved to be punished for her actions. Which she was. She lost the match. Point blank period. There should be no more discussion about the matter.

Now…should the rest of the society judge and depict her as a sadistic, high-strung individual who has a serious “potty mouth.” Maybe so! LOL. But so does most of the general society. Just because she’s in the limelight and is a celebrity doesn’t mean she will never speak out of turn or act unruly from time to time.

Now Kanye West…

Yes….that was sooooo foul of Kanye to jump into Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech. I mean…what was he thinking??? That was both rude and extremely unnecessary. Now, was I surprised? Was I shocked that Kanye West did that?? Honestly…no. LOL

First of all, I knew that Kanye was more than likely to do something stupid. How did I know? I could say it’s safe to say that the first tip for me was when I saw him walk into the awards show with a bottle of Hennessey. First of all, why was he able to walk into the awards show with a FULL bottle of alcohol anyway??!! That’s just asking for trouble.

So for Kanye to hop on stage and say what he did…I’m not surprised. I partly blame the VMA staff for letting him walk in with alcohol AND walk on the stage at that! You’d think they’d have better security. Lol (Obviously not when they let Lil Mama jump on stage during Jay-Z and Alicia Key’s performance…straight ridiculous).

Second of all, this isn’t the first time that Kanye West has acted up in public either. Remember his whole “Bush hates Black people” comment?? How funny that people forget. That wasn’t THAT long ago.

In summation, I think it’s stupid for people to expect celebrities to act perfectly all the time just because they’re celebrities. People!...Celebrities are people too. Remember that. They’re no different from you and I. They just get paid more. So don’t put them on pedestals, then you won’t be disappointed when they act out of turn.
