Yet Another Reason To Say NO To Drugs

I have to be completely honest…this topic is very disturbing and disquieting. It’s actually very difficult for me to write about this, being that I cannot fathom how one could have sex with a family member – greater yet, one’s own father!

In Mackenzie Phillip’s case, facts are limited. However, what we do know is that drugs were involved, which ultimately led to her forming a consensual, incestuous relationship with her father. All one can do at this point is re-state how drugs negatively affect oneself and everyone else around. Drugs do not allow one to think clearly. To be plain, using drugs is DANGEROUS, DETRIMENTAL to one’s health, and INHIBITING, …therefore, don’t do them!

I mean…Mackenzie must have been undergoing a substantial amount of guilt for her to air her dirty laundry out for the whole world to see; however, I honestly find it hard to feel any sense of remorse for her, being that her drug habit enabled this to happen and worse...CONTINUE.

So now what??...Is she to seek penitence by writing a memoir about such events?

Who knows. What I do hope, though, is that her story will serve as a reminder and an aid in encouraging others to not use drugs.
