I was asked to write a short biography of myself…therefore, in an attempt to begin to “untangle the deep complexities and inner workings of myself,” I thought I should address this bio as…

To Whom It May Concern:

My full name is Janae Lynn Jacobs, but I am commonly known as Janae, Nae-Nae, or Jayleno (don’t ask). I was born and raised in the small town of Bakersfield, California, where I was blessed to grow up with both of my parents and my two younger sisters. As what is typical of “the oldest child,” I grew up with an extremely proactive and overly ambitious personality. I was and am commonly referred to as a very active, vociferous and opinionated individual. However, I’ve always been able to give sound advice or insight without deeply offending or pushing my beliefs on other individuals. Therefore, aside from my very dominate personality, I am one that is known to be respected and able to create meaningful relationships with others from all types of different backgrounds. To put simply, I enjoy meeting strangers, and I LIVE to engage in random conversations – whether they be enlightening or simply entertaining.

What else?...I’ve never been one that can be placed in one-box…I think it’s because I’m always moving. I currently reside in Los Angeles, California and my most recent feat was earning my graduate degree at the University of Southern California, Annenberg School for Communication, graduating with a Master's degree in Communications Management with an emphasis in Marketing. I hope to one day launch my own online Christian-based magazine for individuals living in Los Angeles, CA. To end, I’ll close with one of my favorite life quotes which reads, “The future needs you to dream God-sized dreams; these are the only kind God gets involved in. And if the future needs anything, it is God working through people” – Erwin McManus (2008).
