Being Baby Crazy Doesn't Make Me Crazy

4

Okay, okay- so as cliché as it sounds I have to admit- I am baby-crazy. Whenever I am walking down the street, shopping in a store, watching a TV show, sitting in a park- all I notice are babies. Pretty boys, breathtaking girls, standout dressers- all passersby do not warrant my glance or consideration, save for babies. I notice every single baby in my vicinity, regardless of any and all inordinate circumstances. Yet I am confident in my knowledge that I am in no way ready to have a baby of my own. So how does this make sense? I ask myself on an almost daily basis.

Little Bike, Big City

4.875

Today I bought a bike. I found it while dallying about on Craigslist - a beautiful, light-weight, one-speed road bike with a basket on the front and a bell on the handle. I got it home, hoisted it up a flight of stairs, and carried it across the threshold of my apartment with great gusto and no little amount of perspiration. I placed it in its new spot in the corner of my living room and I can’t stop looking at it. You see, this bike isn’t just a bike; it represents the setting of new roots in a city, of investing in a new life.

Forget Regrets

Everyone has regrets. Whether a person regrets being in a certain situation, saying something that they maybe shouldn’t have, or doing something they later thought was wrong, regrets are a part of our lives and we have to learn to live with them. However, sometimes regrets can take up too much of our time and instead of living in the here and now, we live in the past, in the what could have, or should have been.
