I would not consider myself to be overly “health conscious,” but every year around the holidays, when my favorite pair of jeans starts to fit a little snugger, I try to keep a closer eye on my eating and workout habits.
A F.O.B.'s Take On Thanksgiving

Before I moved to the U.S., the predominant images I had of Thanksgiving were of Pilgrims and Native Americans care of, you guessed it…Hollywood. I also thought that it was just some holiday where Americans predominantly serve turkey and pumpkin pie. Until I experienced my first Thanksgiving did I realize it was so much more than that.
MUCH to be thankful for

I’m blessed to have both sets of my grandparents alive; therefore, every Thanksgiving, my family and I go to each of my grandparent’s house for Thanksgiving dinner. A typical Thanksgiving at both houses entails lots of laughter, noise, and most importantly FOOD - in fact…TOO MUCH food. By the time we’re done visiting both houses, my family and I don’t even want to see another turkey.

Thankfulness = Everything Counts

Oh, what to write about thankfulness? At the mature age of 25, it's feeling a little trite this year. Besides, I believe that true gratefulness is a lifestyle and not a holiday. On the other hand, I do also believe that from time to time we should take a moment to reflect on our lives so that we fully grasp our experiences and understand their significance. How convenient that these times are built into the calendar.

Thanksgiving With Friends
Submitted by Christina on Tue, 11/17/2009 - 12:26
Over the last few years, I have realized that one of my favorite parts of the holiday season is having Thanksgiving in San Francisco. My family is so spread out, and it just seems too difficult to go home for the couple of days when my college age brothers are home for a month a couple weeks later. So, I stay near work, forget about traveling on the busiest day of the year, and I get to relax with my friends who also stick around for various reasons. I love it because we always end up inviting random people to come along and eat the delicious food that my culinary adept friends make.
